Ford F-150 Maintenance Schedule

Routine maintenance is the surefire way to keep your Ford F-150 on the road for years to come. Here at Blackwell Ford, serving Plymouth, Livonia, and Belleville, MI, we know how important regular service is to continued peak performance.
That's why we put together this Ford F-150 routine maintenance schedule to keep you ahead of the game with your Ford services.
Why Routine Maintenance Matters
How you carry out your routine maintenance will determine the health of your Ford F-150. When the engine is in operation, the internal components constantly wear out, which might cause a loss of lubrication and hence affect performance.
The recommended maintenance intervals with a visit to our certified service center will help you keep your truck running as it should. Here's a quick breakdown of each interval and the services needed:
Every 10,000 Miles

Check and rotate tires, change engine oil and filter, inspect the cooling system, exhaust system check, automatic transmission fluid, brake system check, steering linkage check, front axle lubricant, and multi-point inspection.
Every 20,000 Miles

Replace cabin air filter, inspect and rotate tires, and replace engine oil. You should also check the cooling system, exhaust system, transmission fluid, and brake system to evaluate and address any wear and tear. Lastly, lubricate the steering and suspension components, check the front axle lubricant, and perform a multi-point inspection.
30,000 Miles

Replace the engine air filter, rotate your tires, and change the motor oil again. Check on cooling and exhaust systems, transmission fluid level, brake system, and steering and suspension components. A multi-point inspection is also recommended.
Every 40,000 Miles

Besides the services listed on the 10,000 and 20,000-mile intervals, inspect the exhaust system, transmission fluid check, brake system inspection, and lubricate steering and suspension components. You should also check the front axle lubricant and the brake system.
80,000 Miles

Once you reach the 80,000-mile interval, make sure to take your F-150 to our service center for the following services:
- Replace the cabin air filter
- Inspect and rotate tires
- Cooling system and exhaust system inspection
- Check transmission fluid
- Inspect the brake system
At this point, a multi-point inspection is also a good idea to assess the overall condition of your vehicle. This comprehensive check allows our trained technicians to identify any potential issues that could affect performance or safety.
